The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition
Five years since we lost ourselves in Skyrim and now five years on next-gen's getting a taste of last-gens huge open world adventure, You probably know that Skyrim is about exploring collecting items defeating foes and meeting people that will further your quest, so whats new for this generation of players using Xbox Ones and PlayStation 4s well the most noticeable difference to me was the field of depth the game uses bright colors on certain plants that you see dotted around while your walking a path way it gives the new feeling to Skyrim you'd go as far as been tricked by the colors that the brightness of the plants and mushrooms have made Skyrim brand new again, another optical trick the game does is show of lighting through trees that make a sun set afternoon look truly beautiful as well as day at night you can see the moon light appearing through the trees lighting up your field of play very clever. Snow drifts are more gushy as they billow wind in huge gusts as you travel up the steps of Bleak Fall Burrows, in some ways the only way to compare it's technical achievements is when R* re did GTA V it's just a make over that people paying that much attention to detail would notice, It's a deal where if you've never played Skyrim before this is the perfect time to play, if you've played the original and aren't really bothered by the paint job done to the games visuals this time then there's no real reason to spend £40.00 on a game which technically is the same, the big shock for me was there was no extra content like new missions and side quests which is what would've made this the Special Edition , credit goes to Skyrim for looking a lot better on next-gen but some new content would've answered all Elder Scrolls fans prayers. Take it for what a excellent game it was back in 2011 and if you haven't touched it for the last five years now's a time to remember but only a lot prettier to look at, oh almost forgot it's practically glitch free now what ever glitches made it in to the game you'll probably get updates patching anything noticeable, peace, Fantam 39.
